Buying my daughter's first car

My daughter is pestering me to buy her first car. She is still in full time education and has a weekend job. We have seen advertised an ex-rental white Suzuki Alto 1.0 SZ2 L (2011) with five-doors and 21,000 miles on the clock.

The local rental company wants £2750 inc VAT. Should we buy it? Will it be reliable?

That is cheap, but these were originally on sale for £5,995. Indian build quality isn't brilliant. Problems here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/suzuki/alto-2009/?se...d
