Should I swap my C3 for a CR-V?

We've got a 2012 Citroen C3, owned from new, currently on 46,000 miles and out of warranty in two months. We're expecting two children soon and so considering a bigger vehicle to fit them, child seats and all the usual stuff.

I've been offered a 2006 Honda CR-V, pre-facelift, with a 2.2 i-CTDi in Executive trim It has done 130,000 miles but has a full service history. My friend wants £3000 for the car.

Should I sell my C3 and buy the CR-V?

In the last of the old shape 2001-2006 CR-Vs the 2.2iCTDI let the car down. The 2.0iVTE engine was much more reliable, even though it would only do 30mpg at best.
