Buying a Audi Q5 - petrol or diesel?
I am considering the Audi Q5 as my next new car. I got a really nice offer from my local Audi dealer (11 per cent off the list price) but I can't decide which engine I should go for, 2.0 diesel or 2.0 petrol.
I want automatic transmission in the car and I cover approximately 20,000 miles a year. I need a reliable engine, responsive one for overtaking, and cheap to run.
I have been told that this new petrol engine is free of oil consumption issues and that is relatively economical (when we take in consideration maintaining, fuel consumption etc.). Have you tried this engine in this vehicle or some other model maybe?

Audi now fits the EA888 engine to its 2.0TFSIs which has a lot of improvements over the previous 2.0 TFSI engine to overcome the oil consumption and coking up problems, and remains chain cam so no £600 belt change every four years and no diesel particulate filter to worry about. I'd go for the petrol.
