Buying a new Ford Mondeo auto - petrol or diesel?

I have ordered a new 2015 Ford Mondeo with the 2.0-litre TDCI engine mated to the automatic 'box. However, I was wondering if I would be better getting a the 2.0-litre petrol EcoBoost instead?

My main concern is that it seems the petrol Mondeo has an older style torque converter auto box (not the Getrag DSG) used in the diesel. Similar auto box in the petrol engined Kuga got a lot of "stick" in reviews. What do you think?

I've driven this six-speed torque converter box in the Tourneo Connect 1.6 EcoBoost and it was fine. What was odd was that no one working for Ford on the launch could or would tell me if it was the Getrag Powershift or the six-speed torque converter auto, so I had to work that one out for myself.

One advantage it does have over the Powershift is no need to change the fluid and microfilter every 3 years at a cost of £300. I'd also guess that the torque converter can take more torque than the Powershift.
