Where can I sell my tyres?

I see some tyre dealers selling part worn tyres. Where do they get them from? Would they buy off a private seller? I have a set of 3 year old Vredstein Snowtrac 3, 195/60 R15 that I no longer need. All have 6 or 7mm on the treads. Is it worth trying to sell to a dealer or privately somewhere, if the latter where would you recommend?
