Buying a new car - Porsche or Audi?

I am looking to buy a new car. I want something with a bit of speed, comfortable to drive and as I only drive about 6-8000 miles a year something which will hold good residuals as well. I have narrowed my search down to either a Porsche Macan or the Audi S4 Avant. Do you have anything which could sway me in this?

The Macan is fantastic. But you have to make a choice between a common sense everyday diesel or the 3.6 Twin Turbo with torque vectoring that is actually an excellent track day car: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/porsche/porsche-ma.../ Get your oder in because there is a long wait.
