What should I replace my Mondeo with?

I will be changing my five year old 50,000 mile Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDI this year and have looked around extensively. However, having test driven a Mazda 6, Hyundai i4, Jaguar XJ (nearly-new) and BMW 3 Series (nearly-new and following your review), another Mondeo tops my potential list for value for money and good driving experience.

Would you consider this a good buy, or am I missing something in the family car range?

No. A Mazda 6 pips the Mondeo as a truly satisfying drive. I did 14k miles in 10 months in one. Best value for money and best ride is a Mazda 6 2.3 Skyactiv D 150 SE-L Nav. Not very easy to reverse, but really good car designed by engineers and enthusiasts, not accountants.
