Why won't the RAC give me the free petrol vouchers I was promised?

Earlier this year I took out a new full breakdown package with the RAC. I was particularly interested in its Free Petrol Offer to new customers. The RAC was offering £50 to any new customer who signed up for its full breakdown cover. After a few months of not receiving the voucher access codes I rang the RAC only to be told it did not apply to me as it only related to Personal Cover (which it did not). I telephoned the RAC again and quoted line by line the details of its offer by way of the press release from the RAC via www.goodvalueformoney.com that clearly states the terms and conditions related to breakdown cover only. Despite the reference to the RAC advert they are unwilling to do anything other than offer me a 3-month extension of cover. Clearly I feel I have been misled and would like to take this further, what advice would you give

Take the matter of the misleading publicity to the Advertising Standards Authority. £50 is not enough to trouble the small claims track of the county court to sue over, though you could argue that the £50 of petrol vouchers was a condition of your contract.
