Should I get a Qashqai on 17-inch or 18-inch wheels?

What is your opinion of 18-inch wheels on the new Qashqai 360? Would I be better off with 17-inch wheels?

Qashqais are best on 16-inch wheels with 215/65 R16 tyres and just about acceptable on 17-inch wheels with 215/60 R17s. On 18-inch wheels with 215/55 E18 tyres the car’s ability to absorb road humps and potholes deteriorates. Paradoxically, a Mazda CX-5 on 19-inch wheels with 225/55 R19 tyres still rides acceptably, but that has more sophisticated suspension. The surround cameras on the Qashqai 360 are a good idea.
