What is causing uneven tyre wear on one of my Honda Jazz's tyres?

I have a 3-year-old Honda Jazz 1.4ES. There's never been a problem with the car, except for excessive tyre wear on the front inner edge of the driver's side. I've been back to the Honda garage and they maintain that this is typical of tyre wear on a Honda Jazz. If this is the case, why isn't this the same on the passenger's side? This is the second set of tyres that have worn out unevenly in this way in 26,000 miles. Have you any suggestions or recommendations as to my next course of action?

4-way laser alignment at a branch of www.alignmycar.co.uk. Ordinary cars are only roughly aligned at the end of the production line. Only specialist cars and 4x4s are properly aligned.
