Is this buyer trying to scam me?

My immaculate, low mileage 2007 Golf GTi is currently advertised for sale on the Autotrader website for £9350. Several days ago I received a text message stating the following: "Is your Volkswagen still for sale? I can PAY £9100.00 CASH and collect TOMORROW! To ACCEPT visit www.offers-autotrader.com enter PURCHASE ID 779007371."

Please could you advise me if you know anything about this or if it is reputable? I naturally have my suspicions. Having checked their website they state they are able to make their money by financing cars to new purchasers. Is this a worthwhile option to explore to sell my car privately?

Sorry, never heard of it. But if they pay cash, meet them in a bank, accept the money in cash in the bank, then pay it into your account immediately. Then the payment cannot be revoked. That is the best and safest way to accept payment for a car.
