Can I recommend the Fixmystreet pothole reporting service?

I saw your recent answer to a correspondent on reporting potholes. I emailed www.fixmystreet.co.uk on Wednesday 8.30pm. Received acknowledgement 9.20am on Thursday, and a further email at 11.20am on Thursday from Notts County Council saying faults are assessed within 10 working days. By Friday 12 noon, the potholes in question had yellow paint around them indicating which ones to be repaired. That’s what I call service. Now it remains to be seen how long it takes for the work to be carried out.

It's a brilliant service. Forces the hand of councils. Makes our roads safer and means less damage to cars.
