Can I recommend LV Insurance?

For many years I have switched insurance companies almost every year in order to avoid the inevitable annual hike in premiums. Last February I obtained a quotation of £289 from LV for my MG ZT-T CDTi+ and took out a policy with them. This year, they sent a renewal quotation for £221, with no change in policy terms, a saving of £68. I rang them to make sure there was no mistake and they confirmed the price. I cannot remember such a reduction happening before without a challenge to the insurer. LV should be careful, they might give insurance companies a good name. I should also add that my Honda motorcycle has been insured with Honda Insurance for several years now, with hardly any increase in premium and preserved NCD, despite a claim in 2009. Credit where it's due.

That's extraordinary. But positive.
