Renault Scenic - which model is best?

I am considering buying a 2010 Renault Scenic Privilege 1.9 diesel as opposed to a 1.5 diesel model. Can you tell me which would be better for towing a braked trailer, with occasional one ton loads?

Also to make the deal better, would it be worth asking the dealer to fit rear parking sensors or a tow bar to the car?

The braked trailer weight of all models of Scenic and Grand Scenic is 1300kg. I think the 1.5 will be lower geared, so that might make towing more comfortable.

Towbars now have to conform to EC Type Approval regulations. It's common for the presence of a towbar to interfere with rear parking sensors. Please fit a removable towbar and remove it when not in use to prevent parking damage. Towbar damage to other cars can cost thousands of pounds to rectify.
