Can I reject a car over missing service history?

I bought a 2010 Range Rover a few weeks ago from a dealer who had just obtained the car. At the time the service log was missing, but I was told it was still at the Land Rover dealer and I'd have it a few days later. However, after some weeks, I was finally told it was missing and that I'd get a fully stamped duplicate service book "soon".

I'm still waiting. I was also told that I cannot have copies of the actual service invoices because of Data Protection. Should I return the car and ask for my money back or continue to trust that I'll get proper paperwork?

Yes, return the car and ask for your money back. It is "not as described" and the lack of a service history for a car like this reduces its value by around £10,000. That's probably why it came to you from a trader rather than a Land Rover dealer.
