Can you recommend a replacement for my Vauxhall Vectra?

I have an ageing Vauxhall Vectra 2.6 V6 estate. The car is 13 years old, with 186,000 miles on the clock and I need to replace it. I need a good motorway cruiser, good comfort, automatic, and with cruise control, but with a good secure space in the back for a large golden retriever. The Vectra was superb, and if I could buy it new again I would, but time moves on. Can you advise on some suitable vehicle alternatives?

Try to find a MK III (2000-2007) Ford Mondeo 2.5 V6 estate. Excellent chain cam engine, which is still used in current Jaguars.
