Best value car to replace my Citroen C2?

I'm looking to replace my Citroen C2 1.4 HDi with a slightly larger and more comfortable new car. I've had it for four years and am averaging 70-75mpg on mostly motorway miles.

I want something bigger, preferably five-door, but still very cheap to run. The Kia Rio 3 1.4CRDi was nice to test drive but your Real MPG reports say fuel economy is nowhere near published figures. However, it is the best equipped of the cars I've been looking at and the finance package is good. I'm also looking at the Seat Ibiza 1. and the Citroen DS3. What car would you buy?

The three-cylinder KIA Rio 1.1CRDI is much better than the 1.4 and, of course, still carries the seven year warranty. The VAG 1.2TDI isn't much fun to drive. The DS3 needs to be the 1.6THP 156, not a diesel. Still does 45mpg.
