Can you recommend a car that's suitable for motorway driving?

I’m searching for a car that’s suitable for motorway driving. I will cover around 90 miles each day and have £2000 to spend, plus a 2005 Nissan Micra to part-exchange. What do you suggest?

Your Micra is worth maybe £1500. So you're talking £2500 - £3500. Pre-DPF diesel makes sense. I'd try to find a Ford Fiesta 1.6 diesel or a Toyota Yaris 1.4 diesel that hasn't already done too many miles. Avoid any diesel with a DPF.
