New car won't be delivered until 2014 - should dealer loan me a car until then?

I ordered a Renault Captur DCI 90 Expression two months ago and was told it would be delivered in November. However, the dealer has now told me they have no idea when the car will be available and it might not be until 2014. I’m not happy as the Renault website says “available from September”.

I've already sold my car and have nothing to drive. The dealer has offered to refund my deposit, but surely they should provide me a car until he Captur is released?

Not much dealers or even the UK Renault company can do about decisions made by the parent company and this is upheld in law. You have no legal entitlement to be kept on the road.
