Upgrading to two cars - what should I buy?

I want to replace my works lease car (Audi A3) with a family/work car which will cover 14,000 miles per year. I also need a small car for my 18 year old daughter to learn to drive in. Both must be reliable and have low running costs. I have about £10,000 for the two, any ideas?

For the learner car, a Citroen C1 or Peugeot 107 which from 2011 were free VED. For you a KIA cee's or Hyundai i30.
