Scraping and rattling in my CR-V?

We bought a new Honda CR-V in September 2012. It is now making a rattle / scraping noise but initially only very intermittently in 3rd gear - not in any other gears. It is now occurring more often. It's due its first service in two weeks - can it wait till then? Also, I purchased a 5 year servicing plan with Honda - is fixing this likely to be covered?

Nothing to do with the warranty plan. Everything to do with the new car warranty. But because so far it's no more than a noise, what you have to do is make it a matter of recored by writing a letter to the dealer principal of the dealership who sold you the car describing the problem and send it to him by Post Office special delivery.
