Three year old car with 50,000 miles - buy or avoid?

I'm looking for a small family car for around £7000, I've seen a two cars I like (Kia Cee’d and Toyota Auris) with around 50,000 miles in three years. Would you recommend buying something with this many miles in or steer well clear of them?

Nothing wrong with a car being used. But a 2 year old 11 reg cee'd 1.6 with 29k miles book retails at £7,000, so don't be so pessimistic.
