Will performance fuel improve my Ford Focus?

I have heard a lot of good points about using performance fuel, but I assume it is only really an advantage if using it with a performance car, is this right or would a lot of normal cars benefit from it too like my Focus for example?

Performance fuels will benefit most cars, including those with small engines. It hugely improves the low speed performance of my FIAT 500 1.2 (70PS) and pays for itself in the improved fuel economy.
