Buying a 2001 SLK?

I am considering buying a 2001 Y plate SLK Kompressor 2.3 Auto with 80,000 miles on the clock, a full service history and three previous owners. It would be as a second car to replace my Mk1 MX5 so I would expect to cover up to 5,000 miles a year. The car appears to have been well looked after and the price at £5495 seems not unreasonable, but would there be any particular problems or expensive servicing issues lurking in the future that I should be aware of?

The roof mechanisms fail very expensively and the cars are highly rust prone. More in the entry in www.honestjohn.co.uk
