MOT history has an erroneous entry?

I have just bought a car with a MOT valid until 10/11/13. It was carried out at a Halfords Autocentre. It showed a mileage 88,348 It had some advisories and I have a reciept from the same Halfords Autocentre dated December 2012 showing new discs and pads.
The problem is when I did a search of the MOT history using the car index and the V5 reference number another test the day after on 10/11/12 is shown as the most recent test. This test was a fail and it showed a mileage of 187874.

I rang VOSA and they told me to contact the MOT centre. I spoke to a helpful man at Halfords he confirmed the Passed Test and that the advisories had been fixed in December 2012.

However he could't explain the other test. I gave him the test numbers etc and he said he would have a look.

It seems to me that the test the day after was for a different vehicle.
But how do I go about getting it removed from the history?

With the greatest of difficulty. Around 1% of MoTs have the wrong mileage on them because of the speed at which the work has to be done and the figures entered. But VOSA is very sticky about altering any data thus collected.
