Could cameras be used to eliminate blind spots?
Would the fitting of cameras to give a view rearwards, down both sides of the vehicle, not eliminate blind spots? I recall many years ago seeing a coach fitted with a rear view screen on the dashboard.

I think so, and I have already suggested this. Land Rovers can be factory fitted with optional camera systems for off road driving so the driver can see over blind crests and judge widths. They have a split screen system. It would seem to be ideal for HGVs and is no longer expensive.
