An endorsement for LV insurance.

My wife and I both have cars comprehensively insured with LV. As she is to have surgery this week, she decided to add my name to her policy so I could drive her car to avoid it standing unused. When she called LV, they declined to add my name because of my age (86). I phoned and pointed out that as I had been a pilot during the war, my reaction times were then probably far quicker than the average driver and even now, though they had doubtless slowed, they are almost certainly as good as a driver 40 years my junior. I also pointed out that I have never made a claim on any insurer when I was responsible for causing the damage. LV phoned back the same day to confirm that they would add my name to her cover, without charge. Logic and common sense prevailed. Well done, LV.
