Is the DPF on my Jaguar clogged?

My Jaguar regularly shows a red dashboard warning saying the diesel particulate filter is full. I'm told I should, at some point since the previous time it happened, have driven for at least half an hour at 50mph or over. I was never told the car was totally unsuitable for someone whose normal journeys take less than half an hour on urban roads, otherwise I would have bought the petrol model I looked at first. Surely I can't be the only customer like this?

You bought the wrong engine for your type of use. But clearing a particulate filter is not about road speed, it is about engine speed. So you need to hold it in a gear so the engine is running at more than 2000rpm, in order for the filter to clear.
