How do I become a registered motor trader in the UK?

I'd like to become a registered motor trader in the UK specialising in selling affordable family compact cars (an area I feel that is not very well covered at the moment). I already have a limited company but I'm unsure about what else I need to start buying at auction as a motor trader rather than a private buyer?
