Anything I can do about this parking ticket?

I received a parking ticket despite correctly showing a valid ticket.
It was sent with a covering letter back to the ticket office.

Much later we received a Notice to Owner and completed it with formal representation and returned it same day as received by registered post.
We heard nothing for two months.

They now have raise the charge to £105 with the threat of County Court proceedings.

If I notify them that I wish to contest the charge at the court hearing are they bound to inform the court and have I a right to defend the charge?

You should have appealed to the Parking Adjudicator.

The rules for public authority carparks are different from those for private parking.

When paying by phone, I inputted my car reg using lower case letters. This was sufficient for POPLA to find that I had failed to pay and so issued me a parking penalty.
