Volvo automatic transmission error

I have a 'Transmission requires service' message on my on board read out and an orange engine light on permanently.

My trannie works very well (once warm), but reverts to limp mode (ie. manual shift and no top gear lock-up) when I give it the wellie (2500 rpm and above). If I don't give it any stick it's fine all day.

I've been told the fault codes indicate low pressure in the lock-up and service clutches. I have 117,000 miles clocked up and suspect the ATF has never been changed. Might/will an ATF flush replacement with correct fluid fix this problem.

Get it to a member of www.fedauto.co.uk You will get a far better job from an auto specialist than from a Volvo dealer.
