Replacing a V70 with something sportier

I have had a Volvo V70 D5 AWD from new and after 8 years it has now done more than 170,000 miles. I would now like something sportier for about £15,000 plus trade in but as I live down a bumpy track a proper sports car is probably out of the question - even the Volvo grounds on the bumps unless you are careful. I drive about 20-25,000 miles a year and have been thinking about a second hand BMW 330d Touring. Would this get over the bumps or should I think of something else?

Definitely not a 330d Touring. Maybe a Mazda CX7 2.2 diesel. That handles quite well. You don't have enough for a CX5.
