Audi A4 Diesel Manual Slowing Down in Top gear.

I recently changed the cam belt and a whole service.

When I start the car 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear is fine, pickup no problem, but as soon as I engage 4th gear and 5th gear the engine slows down. I used full accelerator but no power on the engine.

So did the engine run okay before you changed the cam belt? If so we would suggest that you may have refitted the new belt incorrectly and you may have to re check the timing on the belt.

If okay then you may have a problem with one of the many sensors fitted, which in turn is putting the engine into limp mode.

It may be quicker and simpler to have a diagnostic check carried out, which should then identify which of the sensors is at fault.
