Petrol or diesel 3 Series?
I am looking to buy a brand new BMW 3 series convertible. In terms of reliability and cost of ownership should I go for diesel or petrol. 15000 miles p.a. over a 4/5 year period. Reliability is more important than cost. Concerned about diesel particulate filter.

If your 15k miles a year is mainly long runs and you won't be doing repeated short runs from cold then the diesel is the better choice.
