Towing with an automatic Rover

I've just bought a Rover 75 2.5l petrol automatic. It will be used occasionally to tow a small 2-berth caravan. It's 11 years old and done 60'000 miles. I've heard of oil coolers needed on automatics when towing. Is this something I need ?

Never a good idea to tow with an old car because they are far more prone to overheating than a new car is. So first jobs are to renew everything to do with the cooling system.
