Most comfortable small family car

Looking for a smallish car that is very comfortable.

Don't mind about sportiness or handling at all. Would rather have something that is comfortable like the Prius, and Volkswagen Golf size.

The Prius is the perfect car (smoother than the Golf) however we cannot get that (for reasons I won't go into).

Quietness is also a bonus. I know you recommend the Chevrolet Spark, however they are very hard to get hold of in automatic, and probably not as comfortable as the slightly bigger cars.

I rate the Renault Megane as having the most comfortable suspension in its class, especially on 15 wheels with 195/65 R15 tyres. That's being facelifted and relaunched very soon.
