Fiesta problems

My car looses a lot of water due to something being wrong with the seal for the box where the spark plugs are found. Water gets to the spark plugs and now there is rust all over. I was gonne let it be fixed but the shop at that time did not have the seals in stock.

Life happened (mothers, children, hospitals) and I never got to take the car back. I drove home from hospital last night and experienced that the car is jumpy. it makes a funny puffing (not out of the exhaust) sound and when I idle it, it feels like it wants to die.

It also loses a power or struggles to gain power when I start driving. The engine light started flikkering about 3 times and went off.

I saw that the water level was on minimum and I put water in the car and came back to the hospital this morning. Still I experienced a funny sound and a funny noise. The power was not so much of a problem but the engine light flikkered again for about 3 times and then went off.

What could this be?

Unfortunately, on this model Focus that is used for short journeys the engine of which never gets hot water collects in the spark plug valley between the cams and eventually rots through a core plug leading to coolant seepage into the spark plug valley.
