Second clutch replacement 10k after the first?

We have a 2009 Peugeot 207 1.4hdi (no DMF or DPF system on this one, thankfully!). Bought it at a year old with two year manufacturer warranty remaining.

It was on 19k when we bought it, and three months later, on 21k, the clutch started slipping. It was repalced at this point under warranty.

Now, a year after this replacement, having covered little over 10,000 miles in this time, the clutch is slipping once again.

I believe this to be either faulty parts or workmanship, I don't see how a clutch can be worn out normally after 10000 miles!

The service manager at my dealership agrees with me that it seems unlikely to be normally worn after such a short period, that he would suspect either a fault with the replacement clutch parts or possibly a leaking crakshaft seal, leading to oil contamination of the clutch plate.

Am I correct on this, or am I looking at a potentially big (dealer says around £500) bill?

If a seal has leaked then you are entitled to a repair. If it has simply worn out then I'm afraid it is down to driver error.
