Towing the line

I have received a summons alleging 34mph in a 30 zone on a quiet country road in West Mercia, recorded by a mobile camera. Within the consideration period, I wrote and asked for 3 things, being a copy of the photograph, a copy of the calibration certificate of the camera and evidence of speeding, together with the exact position if the camera. Photo evidence of my number plate has been provided (a rear shot of my caravan), but they will not give the calibration certificate etc., unless I enter a plea.

I have visited the site, and whilst the general location is clearly marked as a 30 limit, there is only 1 speed camera sign, so the location of the camera may have been on the wrong side (i.e. before) the sign. I have also calibrated my speedo against my Tom Tom and note a relevant difference, ie 30mph on the Tom Tom is about 26/7 on the speedo. I am very aware of speed and the importance of speed limits, and have no convictions or previous for over 45 years. I can choose a speed awareness course over 3 points, together with fine. I have an extended time to enter a plea, or to fight on, but that expires very soon. Is it worth fighting?

Throw in the towel and go for the speed awareness course. Even though this NIP is marginal, just to get the quota up, and even though you are in the right, best to take the expedient route.

I've received a NIP dated 15 November for doing 35mph in a 30mph zone on 30 August. I believe the police have 14 days to issue these but obviously, this had been 14 weeks. How do I respond to it?
How long do the police have to respond with a decision if they are to give you points or a speeding course? Surely there must be a time limit for them to reply once you've named yourself as a driver.
