What should I sell my 2001 BMW 330i for, and what should I replace it with?

I wish to sell my Y-reg 2001 BMW 330i Touring, mileage 106,000. Reasonable condition outside, excellent interior. Reason for sale: although the handling is superb, the harsh suspension and low profile tyres make it uncomfortable for longer journeys. What's the least I should accept?

I want to buy a nearly new estate, budget £15,000-ish. Looking at Mondeos, which model is best? I would even consider a Focus. Likewise a Skoda Superb or Octavia. I'd be very grateful for your views.

Y reg, 86,000 miles trade is £2,350, minus £525 for the extra miles, so £1,825 is the barest minimum. It might do better at www.sure-sell.info but no guarantees.

Mondeos are now decent quality cars, every bit as good as anything out of Germany (they're built in Belgium). Go for the new 2.0SCTI Ecoboost 240, as video tested here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/ford/ford-mondeo-2.../

Limousine-like amounts of rear legroom. Clever dual tailgate means it's both a hatch and a saloon. GreenLine model is very economical. A lot of car for the money.
