Why don't motorway drivers take into account the needs of HGV drivers?

I entirely agree that the CLOGs are a menace on the roads because of their total lack of consideration for other road users, but one point that is never highlighted is that HGVs and vehicles towing trailers are unable to use lane three (on a three lane motorway) so are forced to 'undertake' or travel for miles behind these characters because of their obstinacy.

Too true, and any sensible car driver should do all they can to accommodate our knights of the road who actually bring everything to us that we depend on apart from gas, electricity and water. You only have to think, anticipate and accommodate. That’s what considerate driving is all about. But members of CLOG prefer to sleep.
