Fiat blow-up: Dealt a choker

Back in August 2010 I emailed you about my FIAT 500 diesel. At 2 years old the engine blew up. Glynn Hopkins, FIAT dealers at Chadwell Heath, Essex did not know what was wrong with it but you did. (Choked Diesel Particulate Filter from too many short runs from cold starts.)

Thank you so much. I have been fighting to get new engine put in since then, but I was told that my 3-year warranty did not cover that. Anyway, FIAT finally agreed in December 2010 to pay for replacement engine. I got my car back last week.

That's a relief. You should never have been put through all that for what is a fundamental fault with the car.
