All drivers are different

Learners: everyone has to start sometime. BMW drivers: at least they are keen to get on with their journeys. Similarly, boy racers. The worst drivers by far are those who are old, male, wear a hat, crouch low in their seat, drive an old but very shiny car, are oblivious of anything to the side or rear, use indicators sporadically and unpredictably, occupy the middle of the road and drive at 10mph below the speed limit.

A real challenge to the patience and therefore the safety of other road users (especially those found in the queue behind them).

Yes, and in my experience of nearly 800,000 letters and emails, that particular group of drivers is the one that complains most vociferously about the behaviour of other drivers.

As happened recently over some published comments regarding tailgating. It rarely happens to me and, most of the time, I see it as a signal to accommodate the driver behind. Not so 80% of Telegraph readers.
