Postcode problems on sat-nav

Mercedes C320 drivers seem to be having problems getting satnav updates. I had exactly the opposite experience with Ford. Two years ago I bought a six-month old Mondeo from Ford Direct and being an ex-demonstrator, it had all the bells and whistles, including a Blaupunkt DVD based satnav.

With the literature in the car was a postcard offering an update when available. More in hope than anticipation I mailed the card off to Germany and several months later received a DVD with very clear installation details. An hour or so later I had a system with lots more addresses and the ability to accept full UK 7 digit postcodes.

That's what you get dealing with a proper, honest company that produces well-engineered, reliable cars at sensible prices.
