Cross-manufacturer wheel compatibility.

Want to get a spare set of wheels for fitting winter tyres. Have the opportunity to purchase second hand Audi/VW/Skoda or Ford wheels, same tyre size (205/55 R16) and number of bolts (5) so can I presume that rim size will be compatible and they will fit the Toyota, or do I need to get a Toyota specific wheel? Anything else I need to consider?

You probably need a Toyota specific wheel and might need steel wheel specific bolts to hold them on. The bolts for alloys may be different.
