Parking penalty issued when we were overseas

We are yearly overseas visitors. We have just received here in Mexico a fine for 180 pounds from Parking Eye for the 16th Sept for Crown Wharf shopping park, Walsall.

There were 3 adults shopping for 44 mins. Last year we collected a card from the machine at the barrier and paid before we left. This year the barriers were up so we presumed the parking was now free. None of us saw signs to say things had changed. We have appealed twice and were turned down.

To top that ALAMO rental car company have tagged on 32 pounds for submitting our address, etc to ParkingEye. Can they do that? Also if we don't pay will we be refused a rental car next year when we visit? It's 142 pounds in total. Any advice would be appreciated.

Don't bother with it. It is a contractual penalty and they are hardly going to pursue you to Mexico for it.
