Golf EPS problems
Having recently paid a deposit on a 2005 Golf Plus, we noticed on the test drive that the ESP warning light was on, showing the skidding car on the dash. The trade seller has said that he will fix this problem..
How do I know that it has definitely been dealt with, as reading your forum I doubt he will be paying out £1500 for a new unit.
Should he not be able to produce say an invoice/job sheet or similar for the replacement of the unit, can I ask for my 10% deposit to be returned as it was one of the points mentioned prior to agreeing purchase.

It's a faulty pressure sensor. VW dealers now routinely fix this for £435. The alternative is to use www.ecutesting.co.uk or www.sinspeed.co.uk
