Which winter tyres?

Having been frustrated the last two winters trying to drive my beemer in even the smallest amount of snow I've resolved to buy some winter tyres.

My local, trusted tyre fitter has offered me Falken HS439 205/55 R16 tyres to be fitted on the existing alloys and he'll store the run flat Continentals and refit next year.

Price fitted is £85 each plus £10 to re-fit the originals which they will store for me till next spring. Having read various reports I'd appreciate any other experiences of this tyre and will I be able to use my car?

My car is a BMW 320d Touring 2008 E91 model.

I don't know these tyres, so can't comment. BMW itself offers a set of winter tyres on steel wheels for £800 so no messing about switching tyres on rims in autumn and spring.
