Is a used Mercedes hybrid estate a good buy?
I’m looking at a Mercedes estate no more than around 8 years old and potentially hybrid. Are these cars reliable and what’s a decent price?

Both the C-Class and E-Class are available in estate form and with a hybrid and prices range from around £8000 for a 2018 C350e to £75,000 for a 2024 E53e, so it is a matter of deciding your budget and looking at what is available within your price range. As for reliability, Mercedes-Benz finished 30th out of 33 brands in the 2025 Honest John Satisfaction Index, with the C-Class finishing fifth in the top 20 worst cars for reliability, so we would advise looking for a well-maintained car with a complete service history and ideally a good warranty.
