Why won't my Cupra charge at scheduled times?
I purchased a 74 plate Cupra EV a year ago and had variable success using either the in-car Cupra infotainment system or the Cupra App to schedule timed home charging during cheap rate. I have resorted to using my home charger box scheduling system and telling the car system to “Charge Now” allowing charging during cheap rate. My Cupra dealer is not helpful.
There seems to be a lot of internet chatter about the reliability of the Cupra in-car scheduling software. Is this a known problem?

We have seen reports from other owners experiencing issues using the scheduled charging function of the Cupra app, but it is not clear if it is an issue of compatibility with the app and the charger or a fault with the app itself. We would suggest ensuring both the app and the vehicle software is updated to the latest version available as well as resetting the system to see if this helps the situation. Otherwise you may have to continue to use the charger's scheduling system and raise the issue with Cupra UK to see if they can offer further guidance.
If you cover no more than 100 miles per day and have easy access to a charging point at home or work, then an EV is ideal for you.
